"The Tamaracks' Quail" -- The original 14" by 14" watercolor, gouache, Aqua Bronze on canvas painting incorporates dried, pressed Feathered Geranium and Yarrow leaves surrounding a male California quail.

Inspiration for this painting:   This painting was inspired by a male California quail that was perched on our back porch railing in the summer of 2023.  He was guarding over his mate and chicks from a higher vantage point as they foraged on the ground, ensuring their safety like a proud papa.
